Day 1 – Arusha - Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, your private guide will pick you up in a luxury 4×4 safari vehicle for the scenic drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s most spectacular natural wonders.

This collapsed volcanic caldera is famous for its incredible density of wildlife. You have an excellent chance of spotting the Big Five, including the endangered black rhino, lions, elephants, buffalos, and leopards. The crater floor also features beautiful soda lakes often dotted with flamingos, as well as large herds of zebras, wildebeest, and gazelles.

You will enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch at a scenic spot overlooking a hippo pool. After an unforgettable afternoon game drive, you will ascend the crater and drive to the Tarangire National Park area for your overnight stay.

After a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, you will enjoy a full morning game drive in Tarangire National Park, known for its massive ancient baobab trees and one of the highest concentrations of elephants in northern Tanzania.

The park offers beautiful landscapes with acacia woodlands, swamps, and the Tarangire River, which attracts large herds of wildlife, especially during the dry season. Expect excellent sightings of elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, zebras, and various antelope species.

You will have a picnic lunch inside the park before your afternoon game drive. Later in the afternoon, you will be transferred back to Arusha, with a drop-off at your hotel or direct transfer to the airport, depending on your flight schedule.
