Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Your journey begins the moment you land at Kilimanjaro International Airport. A Kiwoito Africa Safari guide will be there to greet you and drive you to Laizer Homestay in Arusha. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, this welcoming home provides the perfect place to relax after your flight. Enjoy a warm home-cooked meal and settle in for a restful night before the adventure starts.

Day 2: Arusha National Park

After breakfast, you’ll visit Arusha National Park, one of Tanzania’s most underrated gems. The park’s diverse ecosystem includes montane forests, crater lakes, and open savannahs. Keep an eye out for giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and the elusive black-and-white colobus monkey. A short walking safari with an armed ranger offers a unique way to explore the lower slopes of Mount Meru. Later in the day, return to Laizer Homestay for a relaxed evening and dinner with your host family.

Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive in Tarangire National Park

Tarangire is famous for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. This park comes alive during the dry season when thousands of animals gather around the Tarangire River. Your guide will help you spot lions, wildebeests, giraffes, and even tree-climbing pythons. After an exciting day in the bush, you’ll be transferred to Osupuko Lodge, where you can enjoy a peaceful night surrounded by nature.

Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park

Today’s destination is Lake Manyara National Park, a compact but diverse reserve set against the dramatic backdrop of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. You may see flamingos wading in the alkaline lake, hippos cooling off in the water, and if you’re lucky, the park’s iconic tree-climbing lions lounging in the acacia trees. In the evening, settle into Eileen’s Tree Inn, known for its friendly service and cozy atmosphere.

Day 5: The Great Serengeti National Park

It’s time to head to Serengeti National Park, a name that needs little introduction. The journey itself is scenic, with opportunities to stop at viewpoints and Maasai villages along the way. Once inside the park, the wildlife viewing starts almost immediately. You’ll arrive at Tukaone Camp in time for dinner and a starlit night surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

Day 6: Full Day Exploring Central Serengeti

Spend a full day in Serengeti’s heart, known as Seronera, where big cats roam and the Great Migration often passes through. Break for a picnic lunch in the bush and return to Tukaone Camp in the late afternoon, where warm hospitality and hearty meals await.

After breakfast, begin the drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a game drive en route.
