After a nourishing breakfast at your hotel, your experienced guides will collect you for the short drive to Arusha National Park, nestled at the base of towering Mount Meru.
Arriving around 8:00 AM, embark on an exhilarating guided walking safari, accompanied by an armed park ranger for your safety and expert insights into the park’s rich biodiversity and hidden gems.
Begin by descending into the scenic Meru Crater area, where you’ll reach Uwanja wa Mbogo (Buffalo Glade), a stunning natural open glade of lush marshlands, dense bushes, and sparkling streams that draws wildlife for feeding and drinking. Here, enjoy breathtaking views along the Ngarenanyuki River, with excellent chances to spot Cape buffalo herds, playful warthogs, towering giraffes, and other residents moving through the landscape.
At midday, pause for a relaxing break to savor your delicious packed lunch amid the serene surroundings.
Refreshed, continue your adventure along the picturesque Momella-Tululusia Waterfall trail. This rewarding path leads to the impressive Tululusia Waterfall, cascading approximately 28–30 meters into a refreshing pool below. The steep gorge walls carved by the falls provide ideal nesting sites for vibrant red-winged starlings and other birds. Ascend to Tululusia Hill (meaning “lookout point”) for panoramic vistas over the lower reaches of Arusha National Park, the surrounding forests, and on clear days, the majestic, snow-capped summit of Mount Kilimanjaro rising in the distance.
Throughout the trail, stay alert for diverse wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, playful black-and-white colobus monkeys, elusive red duiker and suni antelopes, secretive leopards, pythons, and a variety of other species thriving in this predator-light environment.
As the afternoon draws to a close, return to the vehicle for the scenic drive back to Arusha town, filled with memories of an intimate, on-foot connection with nature.
