When you join a group safari, you will share the safari vehicle and guide’s services with up to six people (for budget camping) or seven people (for ensuite accommodations), all of whom will have window seats. Daily schedules are set for the duration of the tour, and itineraries cannot be altered.
For some of the nights, accommodations can be somewhat customized. Due to shared costs, group-joining safaris are less expensive than the corresponding private safaris.
You will be paired with other travelers in our guided Tanzania joining safari groups. For a more social African experience, we run a variety of small group safaris. Every member of our scheduled Tanzania group joining safaris is guaranteed a window seat and a place to stand through the roof hatch while watching the game in vehicles that can accommodate up to six people.
Joining an established safari group can be a fantastic way to meet new people and save money, whether you’re traveling alone or with a companion. As we take you to carefully chosen locations full of wildlife, scenery, and adventure throughout the popular national parks, such as the Serengeti, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, and Ngorongoro Crater, you can make lifelong friends and share some incredible experiences.
This is a great way to save money because the group members split the cost of fuel and guides while also sharing the experience with other backpackers and new friends.
Safaris uses a 4×4 Toyota Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof that can accommodate up to 7 customers plus the driver. A shortened land cruiser with room for up to five passengers and a driver may occasionally be offered for smaller groups (one to three travelers).
