Day 0: Arrival in Arusha
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, our representative meets you with a warm welcome and transfers you to Mount Meru Game Lodge & Sanctuary, a peaceful retreat on the outskirts of Arusha surrounded by its own small game sanctuary. Settle into your comfortable room relax by the pool or stroll the grounds to spot resident wildlife. Later in the afternoon our safari manager visits for a detailed briefing about your upcoming adventure answering questions and ensuring everything is set for a smooth journey. Enjoy dinner at the lodge and a restful overnight in Arusha’s pleasant climate.

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast your private driver-guide collects you and departs for Tarangire National Park (approx. 2–3 hours drive). Stop briefly in Arusha town if needed for any last-minute purchases. The drive passes through Maasai steppe villages and open landscapes before entering Tarangire, famous for its giant baobab trees, huge elephant populations, and the permanent Tarangire River that draws wildlife in the dry season. Expect to see large herds of elephants, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, baboons, and various antelopes, and predators including lions, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, and the elusive leopard. Birdwatchers will love the over 400 recorded species, including the rare Ash Starling. Enjoy a full day of game drives with picnic lunch in the bush before arriving at your tented lodge near the park for sunset viewing, dinner, and overnight.

Day 2: Tarangire to Lake Manyara & Lake Eyasi
\After breakfast drive a short distance (approx. 1 hour) to Lake Manyara National Park nestled dramatically at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment with underground springs keeping it lush year-round. Game drives reveal high concentrations of baboons beautiful flocks of flamingos hippos giraffes buffalos zebras antelopes and the park’s signature tree-climbing lions resting in acacia branches. In the afternoon continue to Lake Eyasi where you visit the Datoga tribe known for their skilled blacksmithing and observe traditional metalwork. Later walk along the lakeshore enjoying a beautiful sunset before arriving at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Lake Eyasi Bushmen Experience & Transfer to Serengeti
Rise early for a fascinating morning with the Hadzabe (Bushmen) one of the last true hunter-gatherer tribes in Africa. Join them on a hunt learn survival skills gathering techniques use of bows and arrows and how they live in harmony with nature much like Stone Age peoples. Return to the lodge for a full breakfast then depart for Serengeti National Park (approx. 3–4 hours drive) passing along the Great Rift Valley through Karatu’s high farmland and along the Ngorongoro Crater rim for stunning viewpoint photos. En route visit a Maasai village where a warrior welcomes you shares stories of their life shows you inside a traditional boma introduces family members and performs their famous high-jumping dances (you may even join in). Continue with en-route game viewing to Naabi Hill Gate then to Seronera the wildlife-rich heart of Serengeti thanks to the permanent river. Picnic lunch at scenic kopjes before afternoon game drives. Arrive at camp by sunset for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 & 5: Two Full Days in Serengeti National Park
Spend two full precious days in the vast Serengeti, starting early at 06:30 with packed breakfast and lunchboxes for extended game drives. Early mornings offer magical light to spot big cats, lions, cheetahs, and leopards active at dawn and nocturnal animals returning from the night. Follow the Great Wildebeest Migration trails (depending on the season), spending time with massive herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles and predators in pursuit, watching thrilling action, hunting, chases, territorial fights, and survival drama. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, buffalo, warthogs, antelopes, and abundant birdlife. A picnic lunch in the bush or at a scenic site keeps you immersed. Return to camp before or during sunset for dinner and another unforgettable night under the Serengeti stars.

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater & Return to Arusha / Airport
Depart early at 06:30, descending over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact caldera and one of Earth’s most extraordinary natural wonders. Game drives on the crater floor reveal dense wildlife: wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, topi, eland, hippos, warthogs, giant elephants, and the Big Five (lions, leopards, buffalo, black rhinos, and elephants), often all seen in one day. Predators thrive here too: lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, and the elusive leopard. Visit Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake with flamingos, hippos, and aquatic birds. Picnic lunch on the crater floor before ascending in the afternoon. Drive back to Arusha (approx. 3–4 hours) with optional stops at Maasai markets or shopping.
