Day 1: Arusha/Moshi to Lake Manyara National Park.
We pick you up from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi and drive to Lake Manyara National Park, where you spend the full day on relaxed game drives around the lake shores and through the lush groundwater forest that stays beautifully green year-round, and this compact yet stunning park delivers close-up encounters with large elephant herds, playful olive baboons, wallowing hippos, grazing zebras and giraffes; plus the famous tree-climbing lions that rest high in acacia branches while flocks of flamingos often tint the alkaline lake pink and over 450 bird species make it a paradise for birdwatchers, so after an unforgettable day of sightings, we return to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and a peaceful overnight rest.

Day 2: Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast you depart with picnic lunch boxes and drive about 4 hours to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where Maasai pastoralists share the vast landscape with wildlife in this multi-use ecosystem linked to the Serengeti to the north and featuring the Ndutu area, where wildebeest and zebra calving peaks between December and April, and once at the crater rim, you descend into the worldโs largest unbroken unflooded caldera formed when a massive volcano collapsed, creating a natural enclosure packed with dense wildlife, so game drives on the crater floor bring you exceptionally close to black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffalos, hyenas, and countless antelopes, while the scenery of lush meadows, soda lakes, flamingos, and forested edges adds to the magic before ascending in the late afternoon to your lodge on the rim for dinner and stunning highland views.
