Flight back home
Your journey begins with a warm welcome upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport. One of our professional driver guides will be ready to meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. This first day is designed for you to relax, recover from your flight, and prepare for the adventure ahead. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a short city tour or simply take in the peaceful surroundings of your accommodation.

After breakfast, you head out toward Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic gem nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Though compact in size, the park offers an incredible range of biodiversity. Expect to see elephants, large troops of baboons, and if lucky, the famous tree-climbing lions. The alkaline lake itself is home to thousands of flamingos and other bird species. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park, followed by a leisurely afternoon game drive before heading to your nearby campsite or budget lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

The third day is dedicated to reaching the heart of the Serengeti. Along the way, you’ll pass through the lush highlands of Karatu and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The landscape transforms gradually into the vast open plains that define the Serengeti. This park is known worldwide for the Great Migration and its high concentration of big cats. Wildlife is everywhere, from herds of wildebeest and zebras to giraffes, buffaloes, and hunting predators. By late afternoon, you arrive at your budget campsite inside or near the park and settle in for the night under the stars.

With the sounds of the wild echoing through the plains, you begin your day early to catch predators in action during the cooler hours. The full-day game drive takes you deeper into the park, offering a front-row seat to wildlife scenes you’ve only seen in documentaries. Depending on the time of year, you may witness parts of the Great Migration, a breathtaking natural spectacle. A picnic lunch is served at one of the designated sites before continuing the adventure. After an eventful day, you return to camp to enjoy a hearty dinner and stories around the fire.

Before leaving Serengeti, you take one last morning game drive to soak in the golden light and perhaps spot some elusive species. After brunch, you start your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, there are opportunities to stop at viewpoints and Maasai cultural bomas (optional). Tonight, you’ll sleep at a campsite located at the crater rim or nearby, offering a cooler climate and incredible views.

Today’s highlight is descending into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most unique ecosystems on Earth. Often called the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, it is home to an incredible density of wildlife. Here you may see the elusive black rhino, large prides of lions, hyenas, elephants, hippos, and more, all within a single game drive. After exploring the crater floor and enjoying your packed lunch by a scenic spot, you slowly ascend and drive back to Arusha. Your evening is spent at a comfortable budget lodge, reflecting on your amazing week in the wild.
