Day by day
Day 1: Arrival – Kilimanjaro International Airport → Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by a Kiwoito Africa Safaris representative. After completing immigration and customs formalities, you will be transferred to Arusha, Tanzania’s safari capital.
Relax and enjoy scenic views of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting) as you settle in after your journey.
Dinner & Overnight: Mount Meru Game Lodge
Day 2: Arusha → Lake Natron
After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive north toward the remote and dramatic landscapes of Lake Natron, located in the Great Rift Valley near the Kenyan border.
In the afternoon, enjoy activities around the lake including bird watching (especially flamingos and other water birds), a sunset walk, and an optional refreshing swim in the natural springs.

Day 3: Lake Natron Exploration
Today is dedicated to exploring the wild beauty of Lake Natron. Travel via Longido for a guided walking safari accompanied by an armed ranger, allowing you to safely experience the area on foot.
Enjoy breathtaking views of Ol Doinyo Lengai, the sacred Maasai volcano, and observe wildlife adapted to this harsh yet stunning environment.
Dinner & Overnight: Lake Natron Campsite
Day 4: Lake Natron → Acacia Plains
After breakfast, drive toward the Acacia Plains, a scenic and less-visited area characterized by wide open spaces and iconic acacia trees.
Enjoy a guided walking safari and a cultural tour, offering insight into local traditions and lifestyles while immersing yourself in nature.
Dinner & Overnight: Acacia Public Campsite (Full Board)
Day 5: Acacia Plains → Embalakai Crater
Today you journey to the impressive Embalakai Crater, a hidden gem offering raw wilderness and a true off-the-grid camping experience.
Descend into the crater and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. In the evening, experience an exciting night walking activity, adding a unique dimension to your safari adventure.
Dinner & Overnight: Embalakai Public Campsite (Full Board)
Day 6: Embalakai Crater Exploration
Spend a full day exploring the Embalakai Crater and its surrounding landscapes. Enjoy scenic views and a deeper immersion into nature.
As night falls, take part once again in an authentic night walk, experiencing the African bush under the stars.
Dinner & Overnight: Embalakai Public Campsite (Full Board)
Day 7: Embalakai Area → Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, drive toward the world-famous Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife destinations. The crater floor is home to lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, hippos, and a wide variety of birdlife.
In the evening, relax at the campsite on the crater rim.
Dinner & Overnight: Ngorongoro Simba Campsite (Full Board)
Day 8: Ngorongoro → Serengeti National Park (Full Day Game Drive)
Depart Ngorongoro and travel into the vast plains of the Serengeti National Park.
Enjoy a full-day game drive, exploring different ecosystems while searching for predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as elephants, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest.
Dinner & Overnight: Nyani Campsite (Full Board)
Day 9: Serengeti National Park – Full Day
Spend another unforgettable day in the Serengeti, enjoying extensive game drives through classic safari landscapes.

Day 9: Serengeti National Park – Full Day
Spend another unforgettable day in the Serengeti, enjoying extensive game drives through classic safari landscapes.

Dinner & Overnight: Nyani Campsite (Full Board)
Day 10: Serengeti → Lake Eyasi (Cultural Experience)
After breakfast, depart Serengeti and drive to Lake Eyasi, a culturally rich region.
Visit the Hadzabe tribe, one of the last true hunter-gatherer societies in East Africa. Learn about their unique way of life, including hunting techniques, tracking skills, fire-making, and traditional honey harvesting.
You may also visit the Datoga tribe and local blacksmiths, gaining deeper insight into Tanzania’s diverse cultures.
Day 11: Lake Eyasi → Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, travel to Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day game drive.
This park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, large elephant herds, dense groundwater forests, and spectacular scenery combining lake shores, forest, and escarpment cliffs.
Dinner & Overnight: Manyara Public Campsite (Full Board)
Day 12: Lake Manyara → Tarangire National Park
Depart Lake Manyara and head to Tarangire National Park, known for its massive baobab trees and large elephant populations.
Enjoy a game drive through varied landscapes including savannahs, rivers, and swamps, with excellent chances to spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and abundant birdlife.
Dinner & Overnight: Tarangire Public Campsite (Full Board)
Day 13: Tarangire → Arusha → Departure
After breakfast, depart Tarangire and return to Arusha, You may choose to enjoy a hot lunch or visit Cultural Heritage Centre for last-minute shopping before transferring to the airport for your local or international departure, marking the end of your unforgettable 13 days Tanzania camping safari.
