Day 1: Arrival and Rest in Arusha
Your adventure begins the moment you touch down at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). A friendly Kiwoito Africa Safaris representative will be there to greet you with a warm “Karibu Tanzania!” (Welcome to Tanzania!) and a comfortable private vehicle for your transfer to Forest Hill Lodge. This peaceful retreat, nestled in the green foothills of Mount Meru, offers the perfect environment to unwind and acclimate after your flight. Take a moment to relax by the pool, stroll through the gardens, and enjoy your first delicious Tanzanian dinner as you prepare for the incredible days ahead.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After a hearty breakfast, you’ll meet your expert safari guide, a professional with years of experience and a deep understanding of the local ecosystems. They will be your companion and source of knowledge throughout this adventure. The drive to Tarangire National Park is a scenic journey, offering your first glimpse of rural Tanzanian life. Upon arrival, you’ll immediately find yourself surrounded by towering baobab trees and a landscape teeming with wildlife. Tarangire is famous for its massive elephant herds, and you can expect to see these gentle giants roaming in impressive numbers. The park is a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts, with lions, leopards, and a vast array of bird species to discover. After a full day of game driving, you’ll settle into the comfort of Baghayo Garden Suites, a beautiful lodge near the park, where you can reflect on the day’s sightings over a delicious meal.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park
Today, the journey continues to the stunning Lake Manyara National Park. Known for its picturesque soda lake, which often shimmers with the pink hue of thousands of flamingos, this park is a true gem. The unique ecosystem here ranges from lush forests to grassy plains, offering a diverse safari experience. While you’ll encounter a variety of animals, including giraffes, zebras, and hippos, the true highlight of Lake Manyara is its famous tree-climbing lions. Your guide will expertly track these magnificent predators as they lounge in the branches of acacia trees, a rare and captivating sight. After an exhilarating day of exploration, you will return to the tranquility of Baghayo Garden Suites for a restful night.

Day 4–6: Serengeti National park
The next three days are dedicated to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. This vast expanse of golden savannah is the stage for one of the planet’s greatest wildlife spectacles. We’ll drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, soaking in the views before making our official entry into the Serengeti. Your time here is spent on thrilling game drives, with each morning and afternoon offering a fresh opportunity to witness the drama of the wild. Lions on the hunt, cheetahs in full sprint, and the graceful movements of wildebeest and zebras are just a few of the sights that await you. Your stay at Conserve Safari Camp provides a classic safari experience, offering comfortable tents with all the necessary amenities, allowing you to feel completely connected to the surrounding wilderness. The crackle of a campfire and the distant calls of the wild will be the soundtrack to your evenings.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater
On this day, we’ll depart the Serengeti and head towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The main event is the descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site often called “Africa’s Eden.” This natural caldera is a self-contained ecosystem, a haven for an incredible concentration of animals. The high density of wildlife, including the rare black rhinoceros, makes for an unforgettable game-viewing experience. You’ll spend the day exploring the crater floor, surrounded by stunning scenery and the sheer abundance of life. Afterward, you’ll ascend the crater rim and drive to Marera Valley Lodge, where you can enjoy breathtaking views and the peaceful atmosphere of the highlands.

Day 8–9: Lake Manyara, Arusha, and Farewell
Your final full day in Tanzania offers a last chance to appreciate the beautiful landscape. We will have a relaxed morning at Marera Valley Lodge before a scenic drive back toward Arusha. You’ll have an opportunity to participate in optional activities around Arusha, such as a coffee tour, a visit to a local market, or exploring the vibrant town itself. This is a chance to interact with the local culture and pick up some souvenirs. On your final morning, after a leisurely breakfast, we will ensure you are transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport with plenty of time for your flight home, carrying with you a lifetime of memories from the heart of Africa.
