Day 9 – 10
Arusha Activities – Departure
You will start your adventure in the Arusha which is the entrypoint of the northern safari circuit in Tanzania. On your arrival, you will be received in the Kilimanjaro International Airport and transported to Under the Shade Lodge. This is a peaceful lodge that will provide you with an opportunity to rest after the flight. The night is left to rest, dinner and briefing the following days.

The next day in the morning, your guide will drive you in Arusha National Park. This is a park that is usually ignored, but is a stunningly diverse park that includes both lush forest and the open plains beneath Mount Meru. It is among the most favored spots in Tanzania where a black-and-white colobus monkey which is rare can be seen. There is a certain extra touch to the experience like canoeing in the Momella Lakes or a brief guided walk. You will stay the night once more at Under the Shade Lodge.

That is where you head to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is known to have ancient baobab trees and huge numbers of elephants to view giving it a traditional safari experience. The Tarangire River is a real meat pot of wildlife in the dry season as lions, leopards, giraffes, and thousands of bird species flock the river. Your game drives will be followed by a stay in Marera Valley Lodge, a relaxing lounge before Karatu that command the rolling highlands.

The next stage of the safari is the heart, with three days in Serengeti National Park. The endlessness of the plains covered by the Serengeti is known to everyone across the globe, as well as the annual Migration of the wildebeest and zebra in large numbers across the savannah. You will have the night again at Marera Valley Lodge.

Then you go to the Lake Manyara national park by safari. The park is located on the background of great Rift Valley escarpment and is characterized by forest of lush groundwater and tree climbing lions. The lake is usually painted pink with the flamingos and the elephants and giraffes roaming the woodlands. Your last night will be in Under the Shade Lodge after your game drives but after visitors game drives are completed.

And on your last full day you will drive back to Arusha. Depending on the time of departure you can also have time to explore the city, visit a local cultural market or go on a coffee plantation trip. This will enable you to associate with the local people and understand more about Tanzania other than wildlife. Then you will be taxi to the Kilimanjaro International Airport to fly back home.
