Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

Is this 6-day safari truly wheelchair accessible?

Yes, this low-budget safari is designed with wheelchair users in mind. We use 4×4 safari vehicles with extra space for wheelchairs, wider doors where possible, and stable seating. Game drives are done from the comfort of the vehicle with minimal rough off-roading. Lodges and camps have been selected for ground-level or easier-access rooms. While Tanzania’s infrastructure is still developing, we focus on practical solutions (ramps, assistance from staff, and flexible pacing) so you can enjoy the wildlife comfortably. A travel companion is recommended for personal transfers.

What is the best time to do this 6-day safari

Tanzania is a year-round safari destination.

  • June–October: Excellent dry-season wildlife viewing.
  • November–March: Lush landscapes and calving season.
  • April–May: Green parks with fewer crowds.

We can recommend the best timing based on your preference

Will I see the Great Wildebeest Migration?

With one full day in the Serengeti, you have a good chance of seeing parts of the migration, especially from June to October. During January–March, you may witness the calving season. Our guide will adjust the route based on current animal movements to give you the best experience possible.

What should I pack for a low-budget wheelchair accessible safari?

Comfortable neutral-colored clothing, layers for cool mornings and evenings, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, binoculars, any personal medications, and a lightweight daypack. Bring a folding wheelchair or mobility aids if needed. We provide a detailed packing list after booking.

Is the safari fully private?

Yes, this is a completely private safari for 2 people. You will have your own dedicated vehicle and guide for the entire trip, allowing maximum flexibility and comfortable pacing.

What if I have dietary requirements or specific medical needs?

Please let us know when booking. Most lodges can accommodate vegetarian, gluten-free, or other dietary requests. We will work with you to address any medical or accessibility needs and recommend comprehensive travel insurance.
