Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

What is the best time to visit Tanzania for a safari?

The best time to visit Tanzania is during the dry season from June to October, when wildlife is easier to spot around water sources and the weather is pleasant. Another excellent period is December to February, especially for the wildebeest calving season in the Serengeti and lush green landscapes. Avoid the long rainy season (March to May) if possible, although it offers lower rates and fewer crowds.

Can I see the Big Five on this 6-day safari itinerary?

Yes, there is a very good chance of seeing the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino). Tarangire offers excellent elephant and buffalo sightings, the Serengeti is great for lions and leopards, and Ngorongoro Crater provides high possibilities for all five, especially black rhinos. Your experienced guide will work hard to maximize your sightings.

Is this 6-day Tanzania safari suitable for families?

Yes, this safari is very family-friendly. It is suitable for children above 5 years old. The pace is relaxed, game drives are not too long, and our guides are experienced in making the trip enjoyable and educational for kids. Family rooms and children’s meals can be arranged upon request.

Is it safe to travel to Tanzania for safari?

Yes, Tanzania is generally safe for tourists, especially on organized safaris. We only use experienced, licensed driver-guides and well-maintained vehicles. Crime against tourists is very low in the national parks and major tourist areas. We closely monitor security and provide 24/7 support during your trip.

How can I get a visa for Tanzania?

Most nationalities can obtain a tourist visa on arrival at the airport (cash or card payment). However, we strongly recommend applying for the e-Visa online in advance via the official Tanzania Immigration website, which helps avoid long queues at the airport. The visa is usually valid for 90 days.

Can I book this 6-day Tanzania safari?

Yes! The tour is available year-round and can be booked immediately. Since it is a private safari, we can also customize the dates or accommodations or add extra days according to your preference.

How can I book my international flights?

We recommend booking flights into Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and out of the same airport or Arusha Airport (ARK). You can book your flights directly on airline websites. Once you confirm your safari booking with us, we will advise the best flight routes and times that match your itinerary.

How do I book this safari?

Simply contact us via WhatsApp, email, or the enquiry form on our website. Tell us your preferred travel dates and number of people. We will send you a detailed quote and itinerary within a few hours. A 30% deposit is required to confirm and secure your booking. The balance can be paid 30 days before arrival.

Can the itinerary be customized?

Yes. We can upgrade to luxury lodges, add a hot air balloon ride, include a Maasai village visit, adjust the number of days in each park, or make it the way you prefer.
