Your safari starts in Tarangire National Park, one of northern Tanzania’s hidden gems. Tarangire, known for its vast elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, has a variety of landscapes, including river valleys, swamps, and open savanna. During the dry season, wildlife congregates along the Tarangire River, including lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests.
Birdwatchers will see over 400 species, including the colorful lilac-breasted roller. After a day of game drives, you’ll spend the night at Osupuko Lodge, which overlooks the park and offers sunset views across the plains.

Today’s drive takes you to Lake Manyara National Park, which is nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park is well-known for its tree-climbing lions, large hippo pools, and an alkaline lake that hosts thousands of flamingos during the season. The dense groundwater forest provides shade and shelter for monkeys, elephants, and a variety of birds.
In the afternoon, you check into the Farm of Dreams Lodge in Karatu. With its spacious gardens and panoramic views, the lodge is conveniently located between Manyara and Ngorongoro.
Accommodation: Farm of Dreams

The Serengeti requires no introduction. Over the next three days, you will explore the endless plains, which have one of the highest concentrations of wildlife on the planet. Depending on the season, you may see the Great Migration, in which over a million wildebeest and zebra migrate in search of fresh grazing. Even during the non-migration months, the Serengeti offers world-class safari experiences with resident lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and a variety of antelope.
Each day includes early morning and afternoon game drives, as well as relaxation time at Nyikani Camp. This tented camp combines comfort with a genuine bush atmosphere, with campfire evenings under the African sky. Your guide will plan routes to maximize sightings, whether in the Seronera Valley, which is known for predators, or along the Grumeti and Mara areas, where migration herds are present.
Accommodation: Nyikani camp

After breakfast, you drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Ngorongoro Crater is home to nearly 30,000 animals living within its natural enclosure. Here you may spot the endangered black rhinoceros, as well as large populations of buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, and hippo. Predators such as lions and hyenas are often seen close to the action.
A picnic lunch is enjoyed at the hippo pool before ascending the crater wall. Later in the day, you return to River Trees Country Inn, where you can relax before your Zanzibar extension.

A short flight connects Arusha and Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Fruit and Juice Resort, a beachfront property ideal for relaxation after the safari. Spend your first evening walking along the beach, enjoying the warm Indian Ocean breeze and sampling freshly prepared seafood dishes.
Your four full days in Zanzibar will allow for both leisure and cultural exploration. You can spend your mornings on the white sandy beaches and your afternoons discovering the island’s rich heritage.
Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, features winding alleys, spice markets, and centuries-old Swahili architecture. Highlights on a guided tour include the Sultan’s Palace and the Old Fort. A spice plantation tour introduces you to cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and other crops that have influenced Zanzibar’s history. For adventure, book a snorkeling or diving excursion to Mnemba Atoll or Chumbe Island, where vibrant coral reefs are home to tropical fish and sea turtles.
In the evenings, you can enjoy a traditional Swahili dinner at your resort or take a sunset dhow cruise along the coast.
After breakfast, spend your final morning at the beach. Depending on your flight time, you may be able to squeeze in one last swim or a visit to a local craft market for souvenirs. You will then be transferred to Zanzibar Airport for your international departure.
