DAY 1 – ARRIVAL

Covering a distance of 50 km, upon landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport, Kiwoito Africa Safari representative will greet you, and a short 2 to 3-hour drive will take you to Planet Lodge in Arusha. Here, a safari briefing awaits from our manager. Set against the backdrop of Mt. Meru, the lodge offers breathtaking views of both the Meru and Kilimanjaro Mountains. Spend the night at Planet Lodge in Arusha, enjoying dinner and breakfast.

DAY 2: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

This morning you will travel from Lake Manyara National Park, taking approximately 3-4 hours, described as one of the hidden gems of Tanzania. This park is famous for its tree-climbing lions and large herds of elephants, which are not shy to come straight up to the vehicle. Enjoy your long afternoon game drive.

DAY 3: LAKE MANYARA – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will commence your drive to one of the most famous game parks in Africa, the Serengeti. Here is home to millions of wildebeests during the migration and over the huge flat plains you are likely to find lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas,s and many other small predators. Enjoy an en-route game drive to your camp and the experience of sleeping in the middle of the Serengeti.

DAY 4: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

An early morning start in the Serengeti to try and find cats before they retreat from the blazing sun during the day. After a few hours of the game drive, travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will overnight. The Ngorongoro caldera is the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. At approximately 20 kilometres across and 600 meters deep, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder.

DAY 5: NGORONGORO CRATER

After breakfast, we decent 600m into this magnificent crater for a morning half-day game drive. Ngorongoro crater is home to an estimated 30,000 wild animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black Rhinos. The crater has a dense population of predators like the Lion, Cheetah and the elusive Leopard. We will enjoy a picnic lunch at the Ngoitokitok springs while watching the beautiful hippos in and out the small spring lake in the crater. After lunch we will proceed with an afternoon game drive while we make ascend out of the crater and drive to the top of the crater rim for your dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 6: TARANGIRE TO ARUSHA

After breakfast, you will depart the camp then head to Tarangire National Park, on this day you will be having your packed lunch. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African National Park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings. After a picnic lunch we do an afternoon game drive then drive you back to Arusha or Airport for a drop off.
